Description
M14 M1A "Big Red" (heavy pattern) birch tiger in very good condition. Plus grade tiger pattern in a stock with dents and dings. Most will come out with effort and patience, some will not.
The tiger pattern is caused by differential stain absorption from closed vs open grain stripes in the wood - parts of the stock darken more than others when stain is applied.
As a general rule, you will need to refinish the stock to see the best tiger effect - the tiger birch stock pictures you see out there are almost all refinished.
